And of the applicants that apply to that job, the employers will hire the ones that are the most skilled that require the least job training... what are you not understanding about that

For businesses, labor costs are easily the biggest cost. This new minimum wage law just made the most unskilled workers more expensive. But of course ya'll don't care about these people, ya'll love to look good in front of your echo chamber while ya'll wave your pretentious flag
You keep saying this, but it's never been easier for unskilled workers to find work. There's literally a labor shortage happening with the wage increases. Unskilled workers have never had as many options as they do right now.

You sound ridiculous breh. Maybe 10 years ago it would've sounded good.

Labor shortage for skilled workers, not unskilled workers. Keep not making that distinction to make your faulty points
Skilled workers will always be ahead of the line over unskilled

And you keep sidestepping the other point I made in my original post. It increases the cost of living. I guess that point was too much for you to attack I guess

No, its the business owners have DELUSIONAL EXPECATIONS of hiring the most skilled workers and pay them like teenagers, while they expect to picket over $500k a year AFTER expenses.
Business owners aren't even doing what he's claiming.

I think he's the only one that's delusional.

I would like to say this as a small business owner, seeing as how people online with regular jobs and think-tanks constantly bring us up as the excuse to keep Americans in poverty.

If u cannot afford to pay your employees a living wage, u need to do the work yourself. If u can't do the work yourself and cannot afford to hire help, you are not capable of running a business and would be better off working for someone else.

Stop grouping us together, stop speaking for those of us who are successful. Some people are failures and so are their ideas.

We need higher minimum wages across the board

All industries are dealing with labor shortages.

Unemployment rate is extremely low, where are all these unskilled workers that can't find work right now?

Because increasing minimum wage doesn't increase the COL. That's a claim that's never been proven, when has a raise in wages ever resulted in inflation?

1. Does that article differentiate between skilled and unskilled?
2. Unemployment rate is a cyclical short term metric. Effect of minimum wage are not, they have long term effects
3. 50 MILLION people quit their jobs during and right after Covid 19, that greatly skews the metrics of labor shortage and unemployment rates. Funny how you blindly overlooked that

If a business now has higher waged workers with that same level as skill as they were before the increase of wage... how does that Business incur that new cost?

The article address all industries including unskilled like retail and service jobs.

Has a minimum wage increase ever led to negative long term results in the past?

Unemployment rates are extremely low even compared to pre covid data.

How has any business ever endured the rising cost of labor?

Don't answer a question with a question. I believe in you. Now answer it. I'll ask again...

If the owner makes over 30 to 50 times over the worker, decrease his earnings :unimpressed:
