Jim's aesthetic influence on the current culture is more visible for his age demographic than Nas.
Obviously the argument over skillset and discography is entirely different conversation.

However, from a style perspective all of Gen-Z are biting Jim's original early 2000's swag very hard right now. From the biggest actors, rappers, etc.
There's a reason why Ye is asking him to send that PDF of style inspo for his brand currently...

Every time I see Jim Jones name I can't help but laugh. He's struggling to stay in any sort of news.

First it was some random beef with Cam again, now he's hoping some kids start hyping up him his name while disrespecting the legends.

Nobody's listening to Jim Jones music in 2025. He's a hype man who thought he could rap.

I like hearing Gen Z and up and older Gen Z minded folks have hip hop discussions, because the Gen Z and up folks confidently say the most outrageous and flat out nonfactual statements, and the older Gen Z minded folks just co-sign it just so they’ll feel like they’re in the know and on top of things. Can’t have real discussions with either group.

Jim Jones album that dropped three months ago is already doing fewer daily streams than any album in the KD and Magic series :mjlol:

For real the phenomenon of the internet claiming Jim is relevant need to be studied. I ain't heard this dude name mentioned offline in any context since about 2008. And the numbers show nobody listening to his music.

But which one is better:hubie:

I was dangerously close to saying it was better than one of those Kings Diseases yesterday. But luckily i dont have the same passion as the youth to speak too quickly. I feel i owe it to Nas to go back and sit with those albums first becauase of who he is. Dont want to make any statements from recency bias. Plus i may be judging Nas more harshly due to higher expectations. But i really liked that album from Jim. And i still have multiple songs in the rotation from that album.

This young man didnt say better,he said more relevant. Im assuming he means to the youth. Isnt hard to imagine that being th3 case
