You gotta look at it like this: In 15 years what's she gonna be like around all them PR's going on and on about good hair??
Relatives talking down to her an all because she's the "black one in the family" or the one with the
"Pelo Malo". On top of that she will get absolutely NO understanding of her history as a black child. She basket waiting to happen. She will trying date lackluster white men just so she can have a light skinned baby.

You watch.
Black people seem to love to blow this shyt out of proportion
Many interracial families out there never have to deal with this within the family. Instead, the child is more likely to be viewed and treated different by OUTSIDERS than they are by relatives.
And im not talking out of my ass. This is from experience. My mothers side of the family are mostly mullato and most could easily pass for white hispanic. Never have I been made to feel uncomfortable and different. EXCEPT by strangers.
I remember when i was little i went to a restaurant with the whole family. I had to go back to the car and get my gameboy. Upon my return they had already seated the family and i came in and the waiter/host ask me where i was going. i told him my family was there waiting but i dont see them anymore. He took me to a black family that had just been seated. When i pointed to my family when i saw them on the other side of the room his ignorant ass was like
Waiter - you sure

Me - what do you mean if i'm sure? Thats my aunt and my cousins and my mom.
Waiter - Really??
