These tests aren't as expensive as they once were, and some people have gotten tested for free on some of these Roots studies. I don't think whether you have the disposable income or not is a big factor, at this point at minimum a few million black people have tested with these companies...

Even still, AfricanDNA is supposedly black owned and the most pro-black/black friendly company, and they put the average results in the same ballpark as the white studies. So there isn't a dramatic enough difference...

Why would that make it a joke? The differences depend on the popoulations using it. If 10 AA use one service and 3 are biracial, and 10 AA use another service and 9 are biracial it doesn’t take much thought to see why percentage of European dna would vary.
