That family is not ever going to get out of that situation. Trayvon wasn't banging. A vagina is not absolution. These situations are not comparable.

For me, reading between the lines, the family is still involved in the gangbanging world. I don't think this had anything to do with her dead brother. Again, reading between the lines, the father said 'brother' when he probably really meant 'daughter's latest sperm donor'. There is absolutely no reason for a male banger to target a female family member with a drive by except to hurt a male family member (unless the female is doing dirt herself). That male family member cannot be the dead brother; he's dead, it's impossible to hurt him. That leaves Father, Brother, Cousin, Nephew, Son or Boo.

i agree.. but it's been at least 2 generations of ignorance forced and assault on the black community to the point where it seems some of these jokers are now beyond help.

Chiraq is about as good an argument for mandatory military service -- for males and females -- as they come. Nikkas need outlets, structure and discipline. When mama and daddy can't provide it (because they don't have the tools themselves), why not the military?

She had a baby every year since she was 18 and was out at 4am on a wednesday with a dude and another female. I know this type of female, and we can gloss it up, but come on, we know what the deal is.

However, it's a shame she lost her life. I do blame the missing guy, because no woman with 4 kids is going to be the antagonist in a situation that will cost her her life. She'll get involved by association, through one of her childrens fathers.

I'd mourn over the loss of a life, but I know not to go out on the South Side, shyt even during the day, much less 4am, if I know people have guns aimed at my loved ones.
