I remember this, it's unfortunate that this is still a reality for so many black boys... I was just talking about this with my coworker--I really feel for my nephews, especially my 13 year old nephew, my brothers a deadbeat, and my nephew is hurting over it. It's sad.

don't know a black classmate who didn't watch it. it was the premier black sitcom, taking over the void left by cosby. it didn't have the crossover appeal/success with white folks that cosby had, but it was must-see, and by like 93/94 - this and martin were running shyt.
