Mine is still plugged up. Legendary console from the birth of the 2K sports franchises to the first console to truly give arcade graphics at home to the VMU for plays in football to playing online with that slow ass 33.3kbps modem.

Just a godly time. Few things have amazed me more than the first time I played Shenmue.

*Me and my brother as soon as we could explore the house*

My birthday, and one of the greatest days ever. :blessed:

I spent my life savings up to that point, in pennys to get it.

My parents had been throwing change in a lego bucket my whole life.

I cashed out on my 14th birthday to get the dreamcast.

Honestly still one of the fondest memories of my life :mjcry:

As a retro collector. I still don't have a dreamcast in my collection. But, I do remember many a good time with the dreamcast on the floor in my college dorm. Someone set up the dreamcast in the common room on our floor and there were some good times had.

Pissed how Sega tucked tail in the face of DVD and the PS2.
They didn’t have much of a choice, I wouldn’t even call it tucking tail because DC was a hail mary for Sega. Down revenue & too much lost money on add-ons for the Saturn nobody bought

Looking at Sega’s history, people were telling them the right thing to do and they got overruled. Let the Saturn do what it’ll do and focus on DC, instead they add X32. Make the Dreamcast easy to develop on and add DVD. They alienated the biggest publisher, at the same time decided against DVD because they wanted on the market long before Sony. Everything about the last year or 2 for Sega was about Sony coming in, they were seeing ghosts off it and never recovered
