Re-watched this last night with my GF. She usually likes kinda silly, whimsical films that emphasize storytelling and are bow tied with a happy ending.
With that said she thought it was an excellent film. I was actually surprised how much she liked it.
With 9/11 coming up I wanted to watch this again since it captured the spirit of 9/11 after the attacks. The anger of it happening and the resilience of New Yorkers.
Edward Norton. Been following him since Primal Fear. He had some great films.
Also shout out to Spike Lee. I was intrigued when it first came out because he tends to do films with a Black cast so for him to have him directing a moving with Norton, Barry Pepper, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman all in a film I was intrigued.
