In America? I'd probably say French...

I feel like most younger Africans I've met speak several "European" languages including English...

I'd probably say French then Spanish in that order.

I don't think I've ever met an African who solely speaks Portuguese, they can always speak Spanish or French as well.

Just my experience.

If only two then French and Spanish. France has the second largest Black population outside of Africa and then there is Latin America.

Anyone who speaks Swahili will probably know English.

Theres 54 countries fam. :stopitslime:

let's use some reading comprehension... i explicitly state DIASPORA. i state the regional usages of languages among different parts of the african continent.

i know you wanted to appear clever, hence your faultly semantical argument in asserting i'm depicting africa as a monolith... which is okay, since i've lived in 3 african countries (hence the aforementioned language background).

would it be easier for you to understand if i pulled up the actual definition, though, of the term 'diaspora'?

let me know.

Are you guys serious right now? :russ:

you can literally go back to the original post and see me reference--multiple times-- francophone versus spanish speaking countries and approaching the issue from standpoint of a diaspora, also multiple times.

The term diaspora is in the title. It really doesn't get much more straightforward than that.

@ofc77 I was just teasing him for his completely pointless drive-by commentary.

I'd be like me saying, @Napoleon, Africa is a continent, not a country.

I guess I should have said West Africa and Central Africa(depending on where you view Angola to be). Off the top of my head I don't think I've ever even met anyone from Angola.

:patrice:

What percent of Angolans speak Portuguese ya figure, breh?
