But they changed the controls 3 times in a row tho. I'm just glad I figured out how to change it back to 2K13The minute they change everything is the minute people will say they should have left it alone.

If that is what you are coming away with playing this game not to insult you but you didn't play it like that. The gameplay is damn near perfect. The passing is 10 times better than last year.
The off the court stuff is what disappoints me like the Lebron mode is weak and there were no changes to the association mode, but the online gameplay is a lot less easy to exploit. online and offline. Defense matters a lot. The players feel heavier and more realistic. Passing lanes are improved. 3 pt shooting is better. the changes in the controls take getting used to but once you get used to it, it's actually a lot more fluid. Playing PG is so much fun and so is center. Like I said from a pure gameplay standpoint it's much better. I don't care if they tweak the gameplay anymore they just gotta improve the presentation and game modes from there and I'm good.
People are acting like this game needs to be rebuilt from ground up or something like 'like well they only fixed the defense and the passing' like what else was there to really fix like that. I only have to make minor slider tweaks to the CPU and the games come out pretty realistic.
I'd say in general 2k really needs an improvement to button response time. Dribbles...blocks...layups ...all need faster response time from button press and fsceup manual defense....the lateral movement part of it...need to be more responsive and faster to keep up with improvement s as well. This has been a complaint for YEARS so let's not act like there ain't much to improve. To me that alone would take this game to a WHOKE different level gameplay wise. Somewhere along the lines we started caring too much about presentation graphics and animation wise and sacrificed user control.

You can't ......Anybody know how to ally oop with the isomotion/shots setup?

Yeah I figured out how to switch it back and I was like yeah I'm balling bytch,I switched the right stick back to how it was in 2K13 and I cant throw opps anymore either
I swear these video game companies are getting dumber by the year![]()
The controls wasn't the problem in 2K13, the dribbling stick was sweet. It's the animations and how quick they react to your controls that made it bad. For example, remember Live 2003, the dribbling stick was responsive and quick. In 2K13 you do the moves and it's like you're playing guitar hero almost. Doesn't feel like you're controlling the dribbling more like just controlling animations. It was more like moving the right stick to trigger a animation.See I disagree, they did that in order to maintain some balance, the controls you are talking about they kind of did with NBA2k6 or 2k7 I forget but it threw the balance of the game off. It made some unathletic players look too athletic and it made centers have damn near the speed of point guards. I think some moves having a setup time is more realistic, because it forces you to sort of guess how the offense/defense is playing out and it forces you to draw up plays, in a sense. Just what I'm thinking.
I never liked the 2k13 control scheme, I'm surprised so many want to change the controls back.

In 2K14 the animations are crisp and responsive to your moves with the stick... but the problem is they change the conrol scheme once again. fukk the Pro Stick... do we really care about flashy passes...
And they let you go back to 2K13 controls but of course it's limited and it eliminates the alley oop function... just pure laziness and it's retarded IMO
so this is the first time in like 5 years I didn't cop 2k on the first day. is the gameplay truly godly, or are folks hyping it???? I am actually on the fence this year, but I'll probably cop by thanksgiving or whenever the price drop happens.
