Bought this album and The Fugees The Score (which means its also the 30th anniversary for that album as well), the same day at Nobody Beats The Wiz on 3rd ave. Also bought the Source magazine that was on the rack where Pac for the first time said he smashed Faith and I bought a pair of Nikes from Dr Jays that day as well. Was dissapointed when I got home and heard a different version of California Love from the the video version.

I only bought it because I thought he was going to directly diss Bigiie but it was nothing but subs all over the album. Genius marketing move to hype a good portion of us up to pay extra for the double album and then when he finally disses Biggie on Hit Em Up months later force us to go back and buy the single with the California Love version that we all really wanted to hear.

slept on classic from the Album with Michel'le :ohlawd:

Everytime I hear this song, I can't help but think about how my homeboy needed permission to hang out with the crew. She told him she might let him go out if the garage was cleaned out. I was helping him and this song was playing. She was sittin' outside the garage in a lawn chair. He had a lamp in his hand, holding it like :yeshrug: talkin' bout "Ay a nîgga that hang out more, will come home and love you better:yeshrug:"

Am I alone on this but did anyone else think that Big Syke was that deep voice thing Pac was always doing like on songs like Soulja Story and Papaz Song?
It threw me off when I found out Big Syke was an actual rapper and had to go back to those older songs to see if he was that dude all that time or if it was just a coincidence that the voice was similar. When he says "my alias Mussolini" on "When We Ride" I was thinking that was the name he was giving to his 'deep voice' alter ego similar to what Shock G was doing for Humpty Hump. Being that he was all over other songs like "All Eyez On Me" & "Check Out Time" I thought for a long time that he was just letting his alter ego go crazy. That outro on "Check Out Time" I seriously thought that was Pac just clowning doing the deep voice thing. The way he's talking it sounds exactly like Pac but with a voice alteration.

I’ve always said they sounded similar at times
