No doubt. The term "GOAT" didn't surface til LL said it in 00

But nobody was calling tupac the best rapper out when he was alive

His legacy has grown to messiah level after his death thanks to his mother enhancing his estate and revisionist fans who weren't old enough to witness his career
I was in 93'. Always telling nikkas if he got better beats he'd take over, this was before thuglife. I was 13-14

Its very close between Pac Nas and Rakim. I go back and forth between the 3 of them depending on who i listen to the most but If i had to choose one it'd probably be Nas :ahh:

This one of the all time GOAT records. "Menacin' methods label me a lethal weapon makin' nikkaz die witnessin' breathless imperfections. Can you picture my specific plan, to be man in this wicked land where underhanded hits are planned. "

:wow:, just :wow: Just readin' the sh*t is ill, then you add that flow and that classic Pac voice :whoo:

He was the last great rapper to me. Pac was always bigger than life, his death ushered in wack music "peeped a weakness in the game and sowed it"

I was just thinking that, he performed it at House of Blues and it was recorded after "If I Ruled the World" came out .. could it of been possible he planned to release it on his next album in '97? :leon:

If I Ruled the World (Imagine That) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

2Pac recorded two songs, 'Troublesome 96' & 'Friendz' using samples from Whodini 'Friends'; a song which Nas had sampled for 'If I Ruled The World'. In 'Against All Odds' Tupac addresses Nas saying "you heard my melody". This is debatable, though, as Nas cites Rakim as a primary influence, so 2Pac could very well have been referring to Rakim's song "My Melody" and accusing Nas of copying Rakim's style. Just before this line, in the background of "Against All Odds," you can hear 2Pac saying "nikka sound like Rakim, man!".

Nas probably thought it was fair since 'Pac swaggerjacked his idea on Me and My Girlfriend :manny: Nas been doin' that though as "tribute" (:shaq2: we know he bitin' ) to rappers like Slick Rick, Rakim, Dougie Fresh, etc.

Money and women, funny beginning's tragic ending's
I can make a million and still not get enough of spendin'
And since my life is based on sinnin', I'm hell bound
Rather be buried that be worried, livin' held down
My game plan to be trained in
Military mind of a thug lord sittin' in a cemetery crying
I've been lost since my adolescence calling for Jesus
Ballin' as a youngster wondering if he see's us
Young black males
Crack sales got me three strikes
Livin' in jail this is hell enemies die
Wonder when we all pass, is anybody listnin'
Got my hands on my semi shotty, everybody's snitchin'
Please god can you understand me, bless my family
Guide us all before we fall into insanity
I'm makin' a point to make my beatin' bumpin' raw life
Drop some shyt to make these stupid bytches jaw tight

When that sh*t drops :whoo: On some :wow: :damn: type sh*t. He has no peer.
