She has no impact among hip hop fans on any level.Even on a production level she doesn't hold up against legends in Hip Hop to be on a can. BUT DEFINITLEY not on a can where we showcasing quotables and emcees

It is. Of course, people will look at it like "oh, it's a goofy Pop star. That's nothing". I don't like Katy Perry's music. It's not for me. That's beside the point. Katy Perry is one of the biggest stars on the planet. Her music resonates with a generation of people for whatever reason. Yet here comes Missy Elliott, who hasn't released an album in over decade or even had a legit hit since 2005 and she steals the show. She was introduced to a whole new generation of people who may not have known who she was. As a result, they went back and checked songs and albums that are over a decade old. That's the definition of something that's classic. It's not just something that resonates with people who were already Missy fans, but people who weren't even fans before or even heard of her were interested in her. The fact that she performed with Katy Perry is irrelevant. The point is Missy performing songs from 2001-2005 was the topic of discussion after Katy's Super Bowl performance.
