Pac had hit after hit. Is Jay Z irrelevant? Of course not. If anything he would've influenced nikkas to include real shyt in their music. Also a lot of the blatant fakkitry wouldn't have been allowed if pac was alive.

jay z is the only guy to really stay relevant after so many years...and actually Eminem too but Eminem is Elvis Rolling stones status with a wide fan base ...Nelly was right there with Jay z in 03 sales wise but he fell into not being relevant like 95% of rap superstars and in reality most people in music really have maybe a 5 year window of being on top because every 5 years a new generation of fans come in and older fans become adults too busy to give a shyt about pop culture

did he go platinum though? Nas is definitely still relevant to me so yeah he can be added to that list but i don't recall him being known for doing mega numbers...but as far as rap legends he's more relevant than the LL cool J's and Rakim's and Ice cube's at this point

and when i mean relevant i mean young skinny jean wearing teens have no shame in buying their album because music no matter how lame young people can be is still a young people driven product

The reason I brought up NaS is his albums sell just as much as these so called hot rappers albums. Untitled went #1 and went gold and I think Hip Hop Is Dead finally shipped platinum. Look at big Sean,Trinidad James,2 chains,Tyga,Gucci,Ross,meek,waka,and TI sales. NaS is right there with them. If Mingos,French Montana,chief keef,and NaS dropped an album,who do you think will come out on top

But I agree it's a young mans game but I think pac would've joined the likes of Jay,NaS,and Em of still being relevant today after all them years in the game.
