I hear you breh, but you kinda moving the goal posts a little here :russ:

@IllmaticDelta come on man, you just repeating what Mike here just said with the Makaveli intro :mjlol:

A lotta shyt was said on that intro .. it says Nas the alleged ringleader. Meaning he was one of the main cats on a fukk 2pac parade. Which we all know wasn’t true. How the fukk you got from that he admired and liked Nas music I have no idea :gucci:

They fukked with each other’s music and that’s where it stops. Pac was a major player in 96. He was not some Nas stan studying and admiring him get the fukk outta here :comeon:

it's the totality of:

1. Outlawz acknowledged Pac was a Nas fan in 96; Dream Hampton highlighted he was big on Nas in 94

2. Labeling nas the ringleader on the East Coast when Biggie (Bad Boy) was the most visible act on the East Coast/actually had personal beef with Biggie makes me think he admired Nas' artistry/pen game to the highest of degrees, hence, why he placed Nas at the top

Tupac Listened To "Illmatic" Bootleg During 1994 Trial: Report

The legendary rapper was a fan of Escobar.
OnSmash recently reported on an incredible and rare story from no other than Tupac Shakur. Through the book Reading Nas's Illmatic, which was released in 2009, it was revealed that Tupac listened to Illmatic during his 1994 trial. In fact, the book excerpt reveals Pac received a bootleg copy of the iconic body of work and frequently listened to it. Upon arriving in court, Tupac was blasting "Life's A bytch" for the entirety of his ride and even continued while arriving inside the courtroom. So much that a bailiff told him to reduce the noise from his earphones.

The exact book excerpt recounts: "Pac was an instant convert. I dubbed the CD onto a cassette for him. He got his manager to upgrade his rental to a Lexus (he traded some midsize rental from the cavalier family). The next day he pulled into the courthouse parking lot, his interior cloudy. He pulled his dub from the whip, threw it in his headphones, and arrived in his assigned courtroom blasting Illmatic so loudly that the bailiff yelled at him to turn it off before the judge took his seat on the bench."

Although not many media platforms have publicized the event at the time, it is interesting to know Illmatic was Shakur approved. And while the 1994 trial, which placed Tupac at the center of rape allegations, resulting in sentencing for the iconic rapper--we are happy to know Illmatic was to know Hip Hop still helped Pac through rough times.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Still looking for shots.

Every rapper does.
Bruh. The Outlawz themselves said Pac was a big fan of the album. Why would he look for MORE shots after he already studied the album prior to even meeting Nas? Squash the beef. Make plans to record with him and remove his disses. Just to turn around and look for more shots on the album.

Fam. All the Outlawz said they looked up to Nas on some emcee shyt. That’s not a diss. Pac would say all the time he was never too big to admit he looked up to nikkas or was a huge fan of nikkas. I don’t think Pac looked up to Nas but I do think he was highly influenced by him and was a big fan.
Kurt Cobain was listening to Radiohead "Creep" heavy before he died.

Greats will check for other greats.

Me and my girlfriend was so good Jay had to copy the actual lyrics. Opinions tho breh. Me and my girlfriend is far superior to I gave you power imo

Even if I feel Me And My Girlfriend more. No way is it FAR superior. Not at all. Lol
Not far superior, but Me and My Girlfriend seemed like a bigger song in 1996.

I also think its the kinda song where its not lyrically better than I Gave You Power, but it would have been a huge single if Pac lived to make a video for it.

Some videos just elevate songs to another level and that seemed like the track that would have been huge. Both songs are trying to accomplish different things.

I think that was Pac's (while in beef mode) trying to show how to commercialize/profit off that idea on another level. Cause it serves the street, but also its a song for the ladies (even if its talking about a gun)

Even Jay's biting ass knew the potential of that song.

Life is like a hurricane......:duck:

Why would 2pac study It Was Written when IWW was basically Nas imitating Rae's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx? :dahell: Wouldn't Pac just have went to Rae's Purple Tape? :jbhmm:
