:leon: Could you put together a list?

Off the top of my head I'd say these tracks probably wouldn't exist without the Pac bootlegs on the streets in the late 90s:

There were loads of others that I noticed as they all popped up around the same era and you could spot the influence.

Def original

95% of Pac's og songs were better than the remixed versions

The worst remix is Words to My Firstborn, they fukkin butchered that og. Took all the soul out…

I wanted to fight DJ Quik for that one. They just needed to find the OG producer, cut him a check, and clear whatever samples. Especially for the sax.

I ain't know about that Angie joint. I loved that OG "When Thugz Cry"

Sting sample:

Pac used it first ages ago but couldn't clear the sample and after death Amaru went on a remix spree.

This was rumored to be another sample Pac had on a track which hasn't leaked yet:

But apparently the beat was reused by Tha Realest:

Some say a lot of the Kobane beats he was on were originally Pacs but I don't know. They sound very Makavelish but not like 96 era.

Who knows? They may be as he did do this whilst living:

And they're not a million miles away...

I never bothered to listen to the OG Mama's Just A Lil Girl. Had I known Sade was on it :sadcam:

It be listening to the OGs that always remind me why he's the goat. Sometimes late and gone off the Henny I'll listen to all versions of "Late Night" on repeat.

I went on a mini Pac binge a few weeks ago. Dude was so fuc*ing prolific.

People that say Tupac couldn't rap just weren't paying attention.

That noise comes with the hate/,jealousy that hes the most iconic of iconic artists in hip hop and by him not being some super Lyrical miracle artist that's the only thing they can use against him.

If pac was only revered as a Oakland, west coast legend the negativity would be different

shyt with the reverence Kendrick gets hes getting his rapping questioned to.

I am guilty of questioning kendricks lyricism but it was more challenging this idea he was this best lyricist and can outrap anyone

Buy you got people legit questioning kendricks rhymes now. Lol :pachaha: and it's crazy.

Yea…people who say pac is wack are the backpacker nerds who expect pac to rap some shyt like this to be goat.

“Givin' you individuals invisible rituals
Line after line habitual, not your typical rhyme”

:russell:
Alot of backpackers fw with Pac. Espescially this genn of backpackers

It's a certain crowd who resents pac, and they of the same ilk like funk flex who fan certain artist

Jealousy is a mug and the root to this discussion.

Quik was the original producer of that soulful, jazzy beat that suited the lyrics perfectly. Who knows what the hell he was on with that remix beat that sounds like you're walking through a hall of mirrors in a carnival funhouse:

I mean, WTF Quik?
full

The OG was a masterpiece and those mournful sax hits matched Pacs contemplative lyrics perfectly. Sample:

I have doubts that last track was the exact version they lifted the sax from though.

You could sum up the way the estate handled Pacs posthumous catalog with one picture that says it all:

Lived, died, resurrected via music and almost killed again by the hands of those he left his estate in.
