they get 85 percent of the money back and walla they have a number one single they can tour off of ...

But how will you be able to tour. Sure you can say you have a number one single and you might get a few shows. But eventually the turnout is not going to be representative of the sales

@L&HH Basically it's something to get you a buzz and depending how your music is, the rest should follow because either way, you gotta promote your music somehow, that would be one option and a DAMN GOOD ONE! But like i said, that's ONE OPTION, the next step would be to get in contact with Blogs, ask them if they can review/post your single/video on their sites, keep the ball rolling and do a few radio interviews. This is all a process of building that buzz till the masses are convinced that you're the real deal, basically the ground work of "fake it till you make it"
