man yall are dumb...I was able to figure out what was going on by reading like 2 comments.

The kid Taylor Caniff is really popular on Youtube...his followers are a bunch of young girls (the main people who buy music)...these "rappers" probably paid dude to hop on this track so they can get some free pub (and it worked).
He gets on the track, tells all his followers to check it out...and it shoots straight to the top of the charts.

Nothing to see here

I have no idea who taylor caniff is but :ohhh: you've just given me an idea.

@Jimmy ValenTime what program is this that buys your song though?

i am gussing an algorithm :yeshrug:

i never used any of that stuff for my own records

i always think artificial YouTube views; fake twitter followers; buying magazine covers buy your own album is unbelievable wack and corny..

its a unsustainable business model beyond the iTunes thing because if the music not good artificially raising your metric might get you meeting somewhere but it wont get you a following ..

yeah i agree with that, i always thought that buying youtube views and twitter followers is corny cuz 1. the twitter followers thingy are actually fake accounts following you and 2. the youtube views aren't even from real people so that's a big no from me

BUT! the itunes idea is something different... because if you buy your way into number 1, it's like the rest will follow and would be curious as to why it's number 1 and if the song is good, then they'll be buying it as well, so in return you might actually benefit, make your money back plus profit and go from there, think of it as grade A promotion, that number 1 is seen by EVERYONE who has iTunes! of course you gotta strike right now while few people know of this practice because once it catches on, everyone will start doing it and just expose the system.
