Not suprising considering this lawsuit focuses on the time period when LYOR COHEN was at WarnerMusic Group
he had a history of treating interns like peasants going back to his days as an exec with DEF JAM
but to be honest....i doubt anything will come out of this as far as change
the music industry is NOT regulated by standard labor law practices
and interns for the most part dont qualify as "temp to perm" hires
this lawsuit will have to PROVE that they were guarnteed the opportunity to have permament employment in the music industry
also most if not all interns are not hired on a CONTRACTUAL BASIS
And WMG like the other majors got lawyers and lobbyists that will walk all over this frivilous lawsuit
This lawsuit has UNION written all over it and in this conservative judicial climate we have now...those interns are gonna take an L on this one
