Pretty much... it was special at the time just to see everybody on one card facing eachother... we were mostly getting jobber squashes on TV, an occasional SNME, and 3-4 PPVs a year.
Thats why I always say wrasslin' fans are spoiled now- they get better matches than some of these on Raw and SD, nevermind Manias.
