He never fukked with Rock to begin with, but he respected and liked Cena, probably thought they were friends. He saw one of his closest friends get assaulted by a power-hungry psycho and a peer that he always respected for his values. The same values that were thrown away on Saturday for the sake of breaking a record and getting the main event that Punk believed he deserved.

He came out there to address Seth, but he clearly had to get that off his chest first.

Then he should've won the match. See how simple logic can destroy a promo? He looks like a crybaby that's upset that he didn't get what he wanted, but we have to act like he's a badass. How is he any different than Seth right now?

In Punk's mind, he was screwed. Seth gave him the Curb Stomp after getting eliminated and Cena took advantage. He didn't even tap, he just passed out from the pain and the referee had to end the match. He probably beats Cena if Seth doesn't attack him.
