Roman and Sheamus taking the first two in a few months, Cena will probably give up the US title at the demand of the Authority in order to get another WWE title shot.

Sounds like the perfect recipe to kill the crowd for the rest of the year

why folks wanna see the us and ic titles unified?

Personally, I think that building to a unification match between Cena (or Rusev) and Bryan at Summerslam or something like that is the only way Vince and creative wont throw to the bushes the "rebuild the midcard titles" plan they supposedly have.

I just don't believe they can help themselves and will go back to destroying those titles sooner rather than later. I can totally see Cena losing the belt at ER or Payback to someone not named Rusev and that new champ being booked liked shyt. And Bryan jobbing every match to set up challengers and angles - like every other IC champ in forever - seems like a very likely possibility once his feud with Dolph ends.

But if they work towards an unification they'll most likely keep the belts relevant and protect the champions...I think
