3-6 "The End" got to be their most balanced album

:wow:Listening to this jawn now and its like bridging the gap between the Mystic Stylez demonic style and the "modern" direction they were going in to meet a wider audience. I swear I have been grinning like a MOFO because the album is hip hop AF from Juicy J's scratches, Lord Infamous floating all over this jawn, the variety of beat selection (them dudes got range on the boards).

Its crazy how that album gets overlooked to their debut, World Domination, and When The Smoke Clears.

:whew:Such a shame shyt start slowly falling apart with their later releases, because this shyt is cohesive and sonically incredible.

I remember when The End was ranked behind World Domination and When The Smoke Clears. Some even head it as their best. Mystic Stylez has risen in status in the past decade or so.

I have been on a 3 6 kick since I finished the Juicy J book and Mystic Stylez seems overrated compared to The End. Yes, the Lo_Fi Phonk type of sound innovated, but there's something about The End that blended everything together.

Honestly, this album and Da Unbreakables (yes I'm dying on the hill) are probably the best 3 6 albums out of their discography.

Da Unbreakables was amazing. Literally every song HITS besides “Shake Dat Jelly”.

The End is their most under appreciated album for sure. I was first introduced to 3-6 with Chapter 2 in ‘99 when I was 8. My older cousin had it and played it for me. That shyt was spooky and dark as fukk. The End was even more darker than that. It was less polished and more raw than Chapter 2 but it was a major leap from Mystic Stylez. That album was cool but The End was when they started hitting their stride imo.

Damn near every album other than Last 2 Walk. Even with all the features, it just wasn’t a real Three 6 album. They were badly missing all the other members, way more than ever.

Last 2 Walk was basically them capitalizing on being introduced to a whole new audience via winning that Oscar, the MTV show, and being featured on Justin Timberlake's Futuresex/Lovesounds.

It had features that didn't make sense on paper. Then they went and added "Lolli" which is easily their worst song. I haven't heard all of that album, but I remember being pleasantly surprised by some of the songs.
