The KKK is not the preferred brand of the modern day racist. Trust me. I'm not saying racism has decreased, its just that the KKK brand has been reduced in the 70-80s to being a sideshow on daytime talk shows and occasional rallies.
Most racists now congregate under different organizations and different venues, especially online. They now consider themselves part of the "alt-right" movement and stuff like that now.
You need to catch up to what these dudes are following. If you're still chasing after the KKK, you're chasing mostly a ghost at this point. Your most die hard racists probably identify with Neo-nazis and fascist organizations than the KKK. He is more likely to be sporting an iron cross tattoo instead of a hood and burning crosses.
