First episode is boring but after the hunter exams is when the show pops off. @Detroit Wave Naruto Copied the whole first arc of the Hunter Exams, if you like the fights in Naruto you’ll like the later stuff especially fights but the last arc is really gory & dark compared to that.

It's a slow developing arc which is unlike the previous arcs in the show. But the payoff is great. The character development is incredible, from role players to major player, the parallels between Gon/Killua and humans/ants.
If you watch it again you'll appreciate the different layers of the arc even more. It's brilliant storytelling.
apart from Thriller Bark Arc.. One Piece is the GOAT.
The pacing of Punk Hazard and Dressrossa arcs took me out the anime...Secure Da Bag
