Real shyt, playing fighters professionally takes a lot of effort and skill. You gotta know match ups, what your opponent likes to do, what works and what doesn't. shyt is kinda crazy when you think about.

There's nothing grueling about playing a fighting game in a tournament. I used to play in the Final around tournaments a long time ago before they got big and even placed 2nd a couple times in Capcom vs SNK 2 when it was new. Then again I didn't take the game anywhere near as serious as everyone else there. Try taking up a combat martial art and then you'll see real dedication and training

But let's not act like there's money in being better than your competition in video games.

Let's not act like there isn't a huge growing culture behind competitive video games all over the world.

Is it on par with actual physical sports and activities??? No, would never put it on that level...but clearly there is something going on in the gaming universe in the avenue of competitive gaming for it to have gotten to the point where it is now.
