CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN IN MEAT HEAD WRESTLER TERMS WHY THE MINIMUM WAGE SHOULDN'T JUST BE TIED TO INFLATION, BROTHER?

well tied to inflation from where? from the original arbitrary minimum wage set in the 60's that wasn't tied to anything? They'd have to pick a number based on some kind of research and not the number from the 60s, because that would be 10.50 if tied to inflation I beleive. But the CPI that measures inflation itself isn't going to accurately display the cost of living... this is why economists are talking about a living wage and other measured wage levels which have been observed and researched by economists

Inflation if tied to the random and arbitrary minimum wage that was first set 40 years ago which was based on nothing. If inflation is added to that random ass amount, it would be 10.50

it's not 15 dollars yet

and this

"Tegegne Desta Yigzaw is bringing home larger paychecks.

Yigzaw began earning $13 per hour Jan. 1 at his 40-hour-a week job at a parking garage in South Lake Union. When he started working there 10 years ago, he was making only $8 per hour."

The Deep State
Don't make it national policy. States and cities can do whatever they like.

Most of the country can't support a $15 wage.

Oh, and the article states several times theres no data:

The UW researchers plan to release a detailed analysis in June of how wages, hours and jobs have been impacted since the ordinance took effect last April. They will analyze data from the state’s Employment Security Department, which tracks wages and hours for each worker in the state, as well as tax filings.

...

The lack of precise data hasn’t stopped outside observers from drawing conclusions.
