30 and up, has your metabolism slowed down yet?

hell yeah.

i run walk 3 times a week

lift 3 times a week

do 100 pushups every other day

just to maintain

if i didn't do it i think i would balloon to 300 pounds

i was 215-225 my whole adult life but during the pandemic i got to 274 pounds.

it was depressing . lock down, eating junk,and not being able to exercise really hurt my body

im athletic tall and built . so people couldn't see the obesity lol. they just see a strong man. with muscular arms, broad shoulders, big arms. BUT I could see it

in March I made life changes

no cookies, chips, cakes, chocolate bars,which were things i indulged in daily

currently 245 and decreasing

i never even used to drink soda but now i feel for a coke every other day.

so id like to stop that

metabolism is at a snail's pace
so ive incorporated more beans and greens into my diet

starting to feel like fiber just isn't for me

it constipates me.

i drink a gallon of water of every day

31 and still struggle to gain weight. I play basketball 4-5 times a week though.

If your metabolism is bad you should start walking and drinking more water. I try to walk around the neighborhood every day. Of course I rarely do it every day in a week but that's always the goal. The water drinking is a lot easier to do daily, and I def make sure I knock that out the park.

Cooking is another thing. I try to add garlic and ginger to at least one dish. If I'm sauteeing anything, I'm adding garlic and ginger. Peppers too. Always trying to get as many vegetables in as possible.

Has it :flabbynsick: for you, slowing down or is it very active still for you?

Mine hasnt slowed down one bit yet and im itching more to the 40 side. Strange

I'm bout to be 34 this month and I always had a fast metabolism. I gained weight over the past year because I've been eating a lot of starches.
(On purpose tho. Got tired of people saying the same skinny jokes.)
