Racism is defiantly apparent in South Africa. Blacks in general are treated as second class citizens. It really does suck.

However, if you have money, things change. In my South Africa travels only once did i experience what I would consider a s racist and that was the server at a restaurant sitting a white couple down before me when i got there first. Needless to say I didn't spend my money at that institution.

In regard to Egypt, the history there is immeasurable but Cairo had way to many people and made me feel unsafe as literally anything could have popped of at any given time. However i would like to visit some other places outside of Cairo.

At first i wasn't sold on Morocco but now looking back on it, Morocco is a vibe. It's basically the Thailand of Africa lol

What was the process to becoming an expat and what spurred you to do it?

I looked for US companies that were hiring for positions overseas. Industries that typically do this are Oil & Gas, Aerospace, defense, teaching, etc

Defense is typically "more accessible" to get expat role in typically because most roles require a security clearance and only US citizens can get them.

Also how are taxes handled over there?

There are little to no income tax in Gulf Countries. However Americans are required to pay tax on any earned income in the world. However if you are outside the US for 330 days a year you fall under Foreign Earned Income exclusion and you get "x" amount of income tax free. ($103,900 for 2018, $105,900 for 2019, $107,600 for 2020, and $108,700 for 2021). So if you made a 107k in 202 and wasn't in the US more than 35 days you can get all that tax free.

That said, i fall under something called Tax Equalization where i pay taxes and don't get all that tax free but that another conversation and if you want to know more about it "google it".

Every once in a while a thread is made about international travel and now that I’ve travelled a lot of places I figured I would make one. If you have any questions please feel free to ask but I’ll post a few to get things started.

How many countries have I travelled to: Including the US, 33

How old is a breh: Just turned 28

Do I travel for work? No, but I am on an expat assignment living in Qatar (see thread for more details The Official Ask a Breh Living in the Middle East Anything Thread(Pics Included))

Next travel destinations: Ukraine and Seychelles

Do I travel solo: yes, 95% of the time.

Do I get lonely travelling solo: no, because I’m typically on the move the entire time

How do you meet people travelling: Instagram, tinder, bar, etc

Average trip duration: 4 days (I take a lot of extended weekend trips being in the Middle East)

Have I ever backpacked: no

Do you stay in hostels: no, but I’ve stayed in a few very cheap hotels

Do I take public transportation in foreign countries: majority of the time I just book an uber or pay a taxi driver unless it’s just not cost effective like in London for example.

Favorite vacation destinations: Cape Town, South Africa and Bali, Indonesia

Do you listen to the media about where to not travel: not really but its some places I wouldn’t for leisure like North Korea, Iraq, etc

Favorite party location: Barcelona, Spain

Best cooperation from women I’ve experienced: South Africa in general

Women with the fattest asses: Moroccan

Most fascinating thing I’ve while travelling: Pyramids in Egypt

Why I travel: Usually I want to see something specific at the location in person, and other times it’s to simply vacation. Also i saw "alot" of people going for the 30 by 30 goal so i set it. Probably went to 20 countires in the last 2 years.

Things that have changed about me the most since I started travelling: I could see myself permanently relocating outside of the US and I know have a lot of Facebook friends in random countries

Countries I’ve travelled to (I may be missing 2 or 3): US, Canada, France, Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghan, Ethiopia, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Qatar, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Oman, Jordan, Maldives, Lebanon ,United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Greece, , Spain ,Italy, Cyprus

Morrocans have fatter asses that South Africans???? How Black is Morrocco?

What country that you've been to has the cheapest cost of living for a baller? Meaning which country has the cheapest cost of living for a western middle class lifestyle?

How'd you get the Quatar gig and how do you get enough time off to travel?

Can you daygame arab women?

Been a long time since I've updated this thread.

I hadn't really travelled for leisure in like 2 years but i did get up to about 45 countries visited now.

Flew out to Dar Es Salaamm, Tanzania (Zanzibar is like a 2 hour ferry ride away) with one of my boys this weekend.

It's cool but supposed Mombasa is better if you want a comparable vibe from what i hear. When it comes to Zanzibar i prefer Seychelles over it. Again better comparable place to me.

In what way is Seychelles better than Dar?

Morrocans have fatter asses that South Africans????

Bruh, Morrocans have some fat asses. South Africans has nice ones as well but I'd have to say Moroccans are winning.

That said, These asses in Tanzania are hella fat!! But outside of that I'm not really to attractive to them on average.

How Black is Morrocco?

I didn't really see any blacks in Morocco. However I went on a few dates with a girl that was basically a yella bone Moroccan and she was educating me on Black Moroccans. She said it's a lot of them but other Moroccans don't really mess with them like that.

What country that you've been to has the cheapest cost of living for a baller? Meaning which country has the cheapest cost of living for a western middle class lifestyle?

Again I'm biased to South Africa. But i know dudes that prefer/live in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, etc and its VERY cheap.

Can you daygame arab women?

Depends on the country.

In what way is Seychelles better than Dar?

Way to much "poverty' in your face in Tanzania in general for me.

I would have been visited Nigeria and Ghana( if we got visa on arrival). However my mentor (and close friend) is living in Ghana now with his family so I'll likely make a trip this year.

I would recommend Ivory Coast, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, and not be Bias Sierra Leone. Not gonna be as luxurious as say Kenya(Mombasa), South Africa, Seychelles. But you'll enjoy yourself, great food, welcoming people, very few tourists, and spectacular beaches that are not full off tourists.

And probably my African gem is Sao Tome & Príncipe, one off the most naturally beautiful places ever.

And your money will go a long way in these countries.
