understand that the people being surveyed, most likely white people, think it would just be surveillance in black people houses. they think "crime" means black people. "putting cameras in criminals houses" mean black people to them.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE GEN Z ARE TURNING INTO MINI-FASCISTS. :mindblown:

They let right-wingers psy-op them into aligning with conservative talking points that sounded 'progressive.'

What's wrong with Cato? They're anti surveillance, pro police reform, anti war, and pro lgbt.
I have become more and more partisan as I have gotten older. And I just don't trust Libertarians. Their belief in limited government and individual liberty leads them to those positions, but it also leads them to ones that are at odds with most of my beliefs. Like, I can't square the idea where you support something like same sex marriage as well as the individual right to discriminate against them. That's on top of their stance on regulation, universal healthcare, taxes and unfettered states rights.

Of course, because they’re stupid and their opinions shouldn’t matter on anything of importance.

I don’t take anyone seriously under 35 at all.

:francis: Gen Z is the WOAT.

Edit: millennials aren't much better...
:jbhmm: Not really it was under boomer and gen x that the patriot act was make which in a way act as the prelude for millennials and gen z becoming more ok with government surveillance
Hastily passed 45 days after 9/11 in the name of national security, the Patriot Act was the first of many changes to surveillance laws that made it easier for the government to spy on ordinary Americans by expanding the authority to monitor phone and email communications, collect bank and credit reporting records, and track the activity of innocent Americans on the Internet. While most Americans think it was created to catch terrorists, the Patriot Act actually turns regular citizens into suspects.
