For such a violent and narcissistic country, A lot of Americans are extremely passive when it comes to the government.

I'm not American, but from the outside looking in the real point might just be that most people...agree with what the government does. In general (in Europe too these days) people, for whatever reason, assume that most of the population would act otherwise "if they had the right info" and that conservatives/the extreme-right/racists/genocide supporters etc somehow "trick" people into voting for them. I don't believe that at all personally. I believe there are A LOT of racists, supremacists, colonizers and genocidal psychopaths out there. And the rest (the majority) just can't be bothered.

So yeah, a lot of people are "passive" for the simple reason that they either fully agree or don't REALLY mind what's going on. Both attitudes de facto means supporting the status quo.

Something I’ve heard ALL RACES and ethnicities say over the past year:

“ICE isn’t coming for us (right?):sadcam:

Fact is, most people are too scared. People don’t want to get snatched up, much less die so it goes to show nobody wants to fight.

I’ve been saying it over and over again: somewhere between 90% to 99% of people posting online from America are keyboard warriors.

Americans still it easier than 90% of the world at the end of the day so there is less reason to fight the government like that.

The French and Russians would had already overthrown the government by now if they were in America’s shoes. I’m not condoning violence or anything but I find it remarkable how Americans allow themselves to be treated like complete garbage by the very people who were sworn in to protect them.

It’s bad enough majority of the country are living paycheck to paycheck, have to deal with bad healthcare, high cost of living and little to no worker rights and protection due to capitalism. Now food is being taken away from half of the population and Americans are just going to accept that without as much as a protest? :francis:

I feel you, but Russia is the LAST place to revolt. The culture that allowed the Bolshevik revolution is long gone lol. They have completely given in to being subservient to oligarchy as long as vodka, hookers, or at least bussy is available

Dems ain't been bout it since the 80s. Repubs more or less support this shyt show until it effects them, and only want to repeal what directly effects them; farmers for instance.

Not saying I'm bout it. I'm just gonna call shyt out and say its stupid, try to educate people, stand by the law as close as possible, and just hope I make through this goofy-ass administration... however fukking long that happens to be.

How much was that as a result of outside pressure though? I would not be surprised if Biden and them had a lot to do with that.
Literally none :mjlol:

Buddy tried to stage an insurrection and martial law… Koreans don’t play that shyt.

On 3 December 2024, at 10:27 pm Korea Standard Time (KST), Yoon Suk Yeol, the president of South Korea, declared martial lawduring a televised address. In his declaration, Yoon accused the Democratic Party (DPK), which has a majority in the National Assembly, of conducting "anti-state activities" and collaborating with "North Korean communists" to destroy the country, thereby creating a "legislative dictatorship". The order prohibited political activities, including gatherings of the National Assembly and local legislatures, and suspended the free press. Separately, Yoon reportedly ordered the arrest of various political opponents, including the leaders of the DPK and his own People Power Party (PPP).[5][6][7][8]

Sounds familiar? He was basically trying to start a dictatorship, built off lies just like your President is now. Except he didn’t fully have complete control over the Government like Republicans now. They got him out the paint quick af…

Idk why you would even bring up Biden, they literally had nothing to do with this. SK is not a dictatorship and they like it that way. And they were already beefing between pro-dictatorship protesters and anti-dictatorship protesters.

South Koreans were bout it bout it :yeshrug:

Thats why they no longer have a dictator that’s trying to rule them. But they also don’t have the Divided States complexities either, and are probably more generally educated than the US.
