If only Scott was still alive this album would have been better than Criminal Minded.

That is just my opinion.

U not the only one who feels like that.....U can hear the production direction go somewhere else by the 2nd album then the shyt got so questionable by the 3rd KRS had to make a disclaimer on the 4th album explaining why the beats were the way they were. Edutainment is where they finally got it perfect without Scott. Kinda like how when Pink Floyd finally made Dark Side Of The Moon way after Syd Barret had left.
When I think of how MC Ren jacked The Bridge Is Over for Final Frontier in 1992 it makes u think of where Scott La Rocks production would have been by atleast 1992. Could it have been Dr Dre/Preemo/Marly Marl levels??

My Philosophy :banderas:. A great album but “Ghetto Music” is still my favorite BDP album.

Yea def. Scotts skills on the turntable were elite and he was definitely making strides. We really lost a pioneer when he passed.

We have to talk about the song Jimmy. First time I ever heard this was at Skate Key. This was the comedy relief of the whole album. This was considered raunchy at the time but nothing on the level of Slick Ricks "Indian Girl":merchant:

This 1 song pretty much help give BBD there 2 biggest hits. "You cant trust a big butt and a smile"

The J the I the M the M the Y ya'll...I need a body bag"

Did BDP ever get a check from BBD?

Looking at their names BBD damn near jacked BDPs name .....:patrice:

"Jimbrowski" came out before "J.I.M.M.Y" though. I always found it odd that BDP would make a song directly influenced by a song that just came out. Maybe it was just a term that they were all using.

Scott surviving would have changed a lot because from all accounts, Scott was a fly dude with a good ear for talent. I doubt he agreed with Kris on what's hot, and what isn't. I don't know if KRS ever really cared for D-Nice like that, it was Scott that put him down with the crew.

To put this in perspective for the younger people in this thread, imagine Puff and Biggie, but with Puff dying instead.
