Your number are off..

Just ran a tax calculator… take home would be roughly $8,400

You're right. I was thinking $3000 x 4 x 12 = $144,000.

$3000 x 52 week comes about to $156,000. The New Yorker will definitely have more money leftover.

I would NEVER want to live in the South.

Anyway, I get to make $156K a year and stay in my city (NYC). Why would I not choose that? :gucci:

900 a week in a small southern town, you can damn near live like one of those Cash Money videos from the 90s.

Thing is, if you're making 900 a week in a small southern town, you're prolly working 12-16 hours a day and away from home 5-6 days out of a week.

that is, the "small southern towns" that Im used to. Your mileage may vary. "Small southern towns" stay that way because there's no money in them.

You can live real comfortable on 3K a week in NYC. Keep in mind in a lot of neighborhoods in NYC you won't need a car while you WILL need a car in a small town.

The monthly MTA unlimited pass is only like 130 a month. Car note + insurance is higher than that in most cases?
