She has a mental illness and will finally get some care and treatment she's needed for years. Sending people with mental illness to prison solves nothing. She goes to prison, becomes worse, gets out and kills someone because she didn't get the help she needed, which is help/treatment for mental illness.

not trying to discredit what you're saying but does she really have a mental illness that excuses that kind of behavior? If so I'm glad she's getting off light because that's rare for a black person, especially a female.
