As far as most atheists are concerned, there could very well be some kind of creator, but there is no concrete evidence for it and odds of that creator being the benevolent father figure depicted in religious texts are slim to none.

Most atheists would tell you that they don't know how existence came to be and that science may well never find the ultimate answer, so either you've been arguing with some confused atheists or you don't actually understand "the basics of atheist argument".

Im not an atheist but I agree with the OP @ofc77 .

I don't believe in the creator that the bible speaks about. I personally feel that something created us and put us here...does the creator grant us wishes every time we pray to him...I doubt it but nevertheless, our creator put us here and gave us the tools to create our own heaven on earth.
