They did, but unfortunately for the coli they can't blame it on Kyrie today.

I watched the first half then flipped away and caught the last 17 seconds of the game. I can't speak for the second half but I watched the first paying close attention to their defense and who should be victimized on the offensive end. The first half Kyrie was passing plenty, people just weren't scoring. I saw a lot of Lebron Isolation attempts where 4 Cavs players were just standing around and I thought that was a big source of problems. Every once in a while it would happen that way and someone would slash quickly to the basket creating a chance but it was few times. I had a feeling they were gonna put it all on Kyrie and said in the NBA observations thread that 'y'all not gonna chalk this up to just kyrie at least based on this first half'. and here we have it

I also watched Kyrie playing defense in the first half and having a hand in a number of steals. But let the Coli tell it he plays zero defense. Meanwhile Bron Bron got owned all game by Gordon Hayward and that doesn't get brought up except for that other thread in here that shows you some of the defensive problems of 'the king' that went on all game

He actually had a good two-man thing going on with Love - which led to Love mising shots or fouls being called. Yes he does need to move the ball more, but here's the thing, other than Love, he plays with Bron who isn't a spot-up shooter and needs the ball in his hands to be effective, and Marion who went 0-3 and basically provides no offense and Varejao who only provides offense on hustle plays. He only has one dude in the starting lineup that can regularly catch and shoot.

Bron handling the ball just as much and he's averaging the same amount of assists.
