Did you just compare Meek to Nas :beli:

Meek is ok, but this isn't a screaming competition.. it's not something he can win on skill.

I'm not it's just a comparison to a stance in the battle.

That was the same argument Jay stans made in 01. "Oh, Nas aint got no sales, Nas aint selling out shows and tours." And then Ether came out and Jay was on Hot 97 within the week cryin. And I love them both as artists. But it was clear that Nas was the more vicious MC then.

Meek aint got Nas bars...or even Drake bars. But its clear Drake has NO idea how to make a diss track. Meek is from Philly a place that has a rich history of battlers. So skilled or not his aggression could get the better of Drizzy. :manny:

because sales stopped Nas from bodying Jay :rudy:

I'm not well-read on the Jay-Nas beef, but you're nitpicking my post. Drake has 10 different kinds of songs, and Meek has 2-5. Drake is more versatile, more apparently talented. Not saying that Meek is definitely only a one trick pony, but he comes across that way.

Could Meek out battle-rap Drake? Probably. But those battle rapper dudes aren't in the national spotlight for a reason.

After Taylor Swift, Drake is the biggest artist on earth.

Of course he has media support behind him :heh:

Why would Meek have that? Seriously, give me 5 reasons why it should be Meek instead of Drake.

Basically how it is is that Drake is the Shania Twain of modern Hip-hop. He came along at just the right time, with just the right blend of talent, versatility, foreign appeal, and blending of genre styles to capture and hold the attention of his audience while at the same time drawing in people who don't even like it. A notable difference is that Shania pulled women as a woman, and Drake pulls women because he was on Degrassi. And the fact that Shania absolutely dominates the country genre in sales, all time, while Drake doesn't compare to Eminem and Tupac (yet). But they're really very, very similar.

Despite the fact that artists before Drake very successfully combined RnB and pop elements with Hip hop, just as artists had made country-pop before Shania, the secret is in the timing and ways that they find/found to stay relevant. Shania dominated because of the success of her music videos (she was a goddamn knockout) which were a new thing to country music at that time. Drake stays relevant by being one of the greatest chameleons in modern hip hop, making totally different sounding music depending on who's on the song with him, among various other circumstances.

Meek Mill isn't revolutionizing shyt. He's doing well what other people have done well in the same way they did it for decades.

Or maybe Drake rapped better?

I enjoyed Meeks album but come on now.
Thats what it comes down to

This whole generation of street nikkas cant rap. Meek is not a student of the game, Meek has no craft. He is just a wide eyed simp yelling hood cliches.

Drake is far from street but he knows how to...... hmmm :scumbag: His team is better at making songs and analyzing situations. Im not surprised at all that Drake is washing Meek in this confrontation, Meek has always been garbage.

this privileged waffle mulatto clearly has media support behind him... i think it's safe to say drake is basically setting the precedent for future generations of privileged white rappers to buy their careers and feel comfortable in dissing the skreetz and skreet rappers with impunity. :troll:

but on the real, i can't believe hip hop is at a stage where we have hood american nikkas taking L's from canadians now... canadians breh :mjlol:. soon enough we gonna have nikkas from norway and albania dissing nikkas on wax :mjcry:

we need this meek to come through and rep the streets

why you have to put his race in there? you a bitter field slave or another honky pretending to be black on black websites and trying to cause division
