This was against Milwaukee, and a young Kareem.

Wilt gets a lot of props for this series, I read, because he out played/equaled Kareem.

How would you score it?

I'm working on a mix right now, highlighting just that... should I upload a preview or wait til it's finished?

Whatever works best for you. It's certainly appreciated either way.

I should prob wait to upload the footage until the mix is done, some of the clips have never been seen before (at least not in the mainstream). Yes Wilt did outplay Kareem through the 1971 playoff series when Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, and Keith Erickson (all 3 of them starters) were injured. Wilt stepped up and outrebounded Kareem, matched his scoring, obliterated Kareem's fg%, and earned himself a several minutes long standing ovation from the Milwaukee Bucks crowd as the Lakers inevitably got eliminated by the soon-to-be-champion Bucks in the WCF in 5 games. In 1972 statistically it looks like Kareem destroyed Wilt in the playoffs, but I later learned the stats are misleading, because Wilt did not attempt to score against Kareem in 1972 until the fourth quarters in which (based on testimonial from both sides) I guess he torched Kareem. This time Lakers come out on top and Lakers win the title. So yes, at least two playoff series Wilt "outplayed" Kareem despite being 10 years his senior. The footage is epic, I'll post once the mix is finished but it might not be for a few weeks.

:wtf: that shyt is ridiculous. The goat of C's :blessed:

Except he religiously lost to a better Center year in and year out :stopitslime:

Wouldnt hurt to watch a few documentaries on the game if youre gonna comment on the history of it and some of the greatest players :ld:

fixed (just my personal opinion). But Bill Russell and Wilt are 1a and 1b for me.

Oh so we're gonna play that game :heh:

Ive heard that before and Russell was flat out better, Wilt knew it and could never get over on him. They were battles dont get me wrong but Bill was just better, had a more complete game. Absolute lockdown on defense and changed the game with the plays he made :manny:

Youll never convince me otherwise.

Bill was more versatile on defense, but Wilt was almost as good on defense and an immensely superior player on offense. What made Bill special was his understanding of his own abilities (and inabilities) and how well he was woven into the Celtics. He never interupted the flow of the game offensively, in fact he could run every single play himself from any position, including bringing the ball up the court like a point guard. Wilt on the other hand, played a more traditional half court center game on offense and he was quite literally unstoppable at doing it. He scored better than any player in NBA history by a startling margin, and when (in the middle of his prime) he was asked to pass off to more talented teammates on the 76ers from the high post he became the best passing center of all time by an equally startling margin. There's no way you can discount the incredible success of either of these players. Bill owns the rings, Wilt owns the records (including "team" records on the two teams that were properly built around him). They're both GOAT status IMO.
