Kendrick won and largely because of his tactics.

Drake’s Family Matters track was well-done with a video attached and clearly set up to take over the weekend as the nuclear bomb. Most artists would have been KO’d by that track and approach.

For Kendrick to turn around in 30 minutes and drop a song with the same family theme had me like :dahell: . He just killed all the momentum of a song and video that probably took weeks to prepare in less than an hour

I think that caught Drake by surprise and he didn’t really have anything ready.

Kendrick then not only follows up with another diss track but one that is a party banger - something we would have expected from Drake.

Not Like Us is the best diss of the entire beef because it works so well in a social media era that needs something simplified and catchy. Reminiscent of Ether in how it focuses less on facts but more on clowning the opponent and giving the audience bars to participate in.
And Not Like Us is so effective because of the social media proof of Drake interacting with minors and kissing a 17-year-old. Of course I don’t think he’s a pedophile but he does have questionable interactions with young women.

This would have been a flawless victory if Kendrick didn’t include the daughter verse. Song was so good without that part too.

Euphoria is the best song to me.

Family Matters in a vacuum is one of the better diss songs ever put on wax, but the fact that it got eclipsed by multiple Kendrick songs and used so suddenly against him in the broader dynamic of the beef is insane.

That track would have taken down some heavyweights. Drake came to play and still got punked.

The tail between his legs on the Heart part 6 will forever sour the end of the beef but serve as a testament to how viciously the tide swung against him.

Kendrick, Dave Free and TDE will never be messed with again.

Looking back at the Drake v Meek beef, meek could have honestly won that beef, but his execution and diss tracks were bad, he had all the information he needed to win but he is not an intelligent rapper like kendrick and Pusha T....euphoria was definitely the best diss out this kendrick v drake beef, with family matters as drakes best effort sadly...there is not much you can say about kendrick which is why Drake lost

This. Kendrick drowning out Family Matters ASAP was masterful. If Kendrick gave it a weekend for folks to digest it it would have hit harder, but you pair drowning it out with everyone already wanting drake to lose it really didn't matter what Drake came with as Drake was Meek this time around (even though Meeks shyt was mid)
