Smart dumb nikka... I have a male HP 3D printer which prints metal, rubber, and glass. A female EPSON that handles plastic and other light materials.

Fam, the only functional thing a 3D printer could probably make is a cup, plastic tool set for kids and maybe the wheels for a kit vehicle. It can print a gun but you'd have to print may of the parts individually and probably stick a real metal barrel in there so it doesnt blow up and burn your hand to bits.
The printer can't print functioned circuitry, wires, and program information on a silicon chip. If that were the case, the entire electronics business would be doomed because you'd be able to take someone else's iPhone, make a copy and give it right back to the person you borrowed it from
They are just introducing 3D printers now that print metal but it's not going to over take traditional industries that materials like metal, aluminum, steel are original sourced from.
These printers are great for doing diagrams to study but aren't replicators like what they had on the Starship Enterprise
