One of Wu-Tang Clan's well-known rap affiliates is facing an attempted murder charge following a shooting on Staten Island, New York.

Killa Sin (born Jeryl Grant), gained notoriety as a member of the Wu-affliated group Killarmy, which released their debut album, Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars, in 1997. But since establishing himself as a rapper, Grant has served two prison sentences on weapons charges, and now faces second-degree attempted murder and another weapons charge following the alleged November 16 shooting of Darnell Brown, according to the Staten Island Advance.

The local paper spoke to a law enforcement source, who claimed that Grant gave detectives an account of the shooting, which took place on Richmond Road in Staten Island. As Grant was returning to his parked truck after a night of partying around 3 a.m., he found a group of people standing around his vehicle.

"What's up?" he allegedly asked, and got a response from someone, presumably Brown, saying "What the [expletive]'s up with you?" the source recounted to the local paper. "And next thing you know, there's a shooting. At least that's what [Grant] told investigators."
