the booking of this match would have been an interesting one, had austin not been going heel. Rock losing clean would have been fukked up, so I'm not sure what they would have done.

They were in a strange spot either way honestly. Where do you go with Austin after this as a character win or lose, face or heel? Rock leaving for Hollywood makes it even harder to figure out what to do. Makes for a very unclear picture.

It would've made sense that Austin manipulated Vince to get back to the top, but what do you do afterwards? You can't just rehash Austin vs McMahon after it began in 1997 and went all the way into the summer of 1999. Any ideas?

Definitely one of the GOAT WrestleMania's ever. Every match was entertaining and it still holds up 16 years later, hopefully they can get consistent again but that's a big IF.

yeah, I can see why initially Austin thought going heel would freshen up his character. he had done it all as babyface. had already feuded a lot with the other top guys, Rock, Undertaker, HHH, Angle, and Mcmahon.

Brehs help me out on something.... I've always debated exactly when the Attitude Era was officially over. The Attitude Era Podcast says that once WrestleMania 17 ended that it was officially the end.... I say it ended later but I don't know exactly when.
