this may be one of the few "marinated" super fights that the fans actually get unsullied
dependent on the outcome i guess either side might try to argue Bud was too old or Spence was damaged by his accidents. But both dudes coming off strong wins so ain't no excuses to me. Spence definitely got a killer instinct and gets mean too. When Ugas caught him with those shots in the 6th round Spence turned super saiyan on him and proceeded to beat Ugas the fukk down, shyt was getting kinda brutal too.

He did the same thing to Danny after Danny caught him at the bell at the end of rd 5 of their fight on his chin, Spence went out there and started running downhill on Danny.

Welterweight division was really a disappointment. But Haymon did a remarkable job of building and hyping up avg b level fighters like Danny Garcia n Porter and tricking stupid fans into believing they were A level elite welterweights going to the HOF... (Even got me with Thurman before he was exposed as injure prone little ducking diva bytch before he cut his ponytail off now acting like he want smoke)...Now if Spence or anybody else is able to beat them while freezing out Bud who came up from 135...this makes Spence look like some kinda ATG to the advanced casual fans...Very brilliant strategy of brainwashing on Al part...

not only that but it even hyped the quality of the opponents they faced when they weren't round robining each other
guys like guerrero, lopez, lamont peterson etc were getting hyped as major scalps. it's a shame Bud never got a chance to pad his resume with those kind of names when it's clear he'd beat all them comfortably in prime

if you want to say the whole resume argument boils down to the round robin fights then that's one thing
maybe "major scalps" was wrong description but i def remember those wins being listed as fights that put the PBC guys over Bud

btw i'm not anti PBC . both of the fighters i stan bout to be over there (bud,boots) and i like plenty of pbc guys like benavidez, charlos etc
