I hated him more as a kid, but as I got older, I started looking back and warming up to him a bit. I legit thought he straight sucked back then though...like, not even in a 'respect for being in the business' kind of way.

I genuinely changed the channel in the middle of his segments.

I never understood the hate people had for him. I can understand in TNA since he controlled the company intially and put himself on top but never got the hate for him in the WWF in the 90's and WCW. He wasn't a great wrestler but he wasn't a horrible wrestler either. Decent worker that could put on a decent match.
