After my initial lolz at the idea of Jinder fukking Mahal being a contender to the title, I say why not put it on him. It can't be worse than Orton vs Bray, Orton couldn't even put in the effort against AJ or in a WM title match, and Jinder of all people getting the title does a whole lot of the idea of SD being the "land of opportunity". You don't have to keep it on him long. Not even to the next PPV. 2-3 weeks then have him drop it to someone.

- The Observer notes that WWE is really high on Baron Corbin, perhaps even more so than Braun Strowman, and he is supposed to be a top star on the SmackDown side by the end of the year.

- PW Torch is reporting Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis have signed with WWE and will be working on the SmackDown brand.

- Bray Wyatt's move to Raw is considered a "punishment" due to him becoming very upset & vocal about his booking.

So originally the WWE "sees Smackdown as a feeder system to be promoted to Raw", and now you move to Raw to get punished

WWE Championship has been featured in the first hour the last two weeks while the US title picture is in the main event.

Jinder wins #1 contender for WWE title while AJ wins #1 contender for US title when it should be the other way around.

They really must have only given Randy the belt to make up for him getting busted open by Brock. They're not even trying to hide it at this point.
