4,5,6 is my favorite Kool G Rap album

All his older shyt production sounds too dated for my ears and he is still in his prime lyrically on there with that golden era production. I played the hell out of that album back when I first heard it.

I love 4,5,6. But Live & Let Die for me...and its not even close. The production and detail put into it was insane. Sir Jinx, DJ Polo and Trackmasters nikkas did their thang. Practically kicked off the whole NY Mafioso era.

For Da Brothaz is one of my favorite tracks off that album.

Kool’s solo catalog rarely gets talked about.

If G Rap had signed to a label like Loud or Rap-A-Lot, I guarantee that his career would have been better.

I would say Landspeed but they was stealing hard and they did Freddie Foxx foul


Rawkus wasn’t the right place for him imo especially when the label was falling off and Talib was the only one keeping the lights on over there post 2002/03.

5 to me. 456 and Roots Of Evil are two of the best written and performed rap albums ever, but 456 has better production and zero skips.
