The United States is far too large for anything to fail massively.

What would’ve happened if the insurrection was successful is that there would’ve been a temporary hiccup at the capitol. Some people would’ve died.

The military eventually would’ve cleaned things out there and there would’ve been memorials. But after that point they would remain neutral on some “we’re not getting involved until this is resolved” BS.

The smart Republicans would try to go for some indefinite presidency coup and it wouldn’t hold up because public opinion would be so low.

The states would eventually mobilize and some crazy ass MAGA Republicans might do a mass shooting or two, maybe run a car into some people.

While this is happening the states would survive without much federal help to begin with, southern states would suffer the most tho.

Then at some point there would be an election, but I’m sure the media and shyt would mobilize the masses against Trump and we’d be in the exact same situation we’re in today

The only thing to come after that would be some 9/11 style event commemorating the politicians who died and maybe temporary pause on the 2020 election.

Trump might possibly be indicted/flee the country but I also doubt that would happen

That was a classic coup attempt. The military of the US is not gonna go against the president of the US. We saw that when Trump put military on the streets for the George Floyd protests. They didn't rebel. They followed orders.

Trump was making a power grab by creating a constitutional crisis. He was simultaneously trying to keep Biden's win from being certified, preventing him from being president, and at the same time hoping for his goons to kill Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi, who are both next in line for the presidency

If he had accomplished that, he's president for good and there's nothing anyone can do. Then he would have started consolidating power and putting his flunkies in every position that mattered.

He would have had the military on his side as anarchy falls across the US and then that's when he was gonna institute full on martial law.

After successfully sending in his goons to the Capitol, he would have started sending them after the fake news stations. We probably would have eventually had a state network like north Korea, either fox or newsmax. It would have been a $#!# show.
