Usually console ports look and run better on PC (1080p/1440p/4K at 60fps or more). That's enough to keep me well fed.
I realize this is a low-key PC diss thread, but once you play at 1440p or beyond at 60fps, you'll be sold.
Oh and currently, PC is the only way to get high end VR (the RIft and the Vive).
PC gaming isn't for everyone. It takes a lot of time and patience, but when it works, it's substantially better than its console counterparts (I have all the consoles too, so I know).

All my PC games look better than the console equivs.
Also I play a lot of PC only games like Total War and Civilization games, aka Nerd Games where graphics don't really matter but if it did, it would look better than it ever would on Xbox and PS.
