I get what u saying. But PC are in hundreds of million homes tho.
like I said, most of those people got whatever laptop. that's part of the reason the most played games on Steam are stuff like Dota 2, CS:GO, and TF2
Steam: Game and Player Statistics
but those games are also popular because they receive long-term support. it's not like with COD, or whatever, where they just want you to drop $60 every year on their next turd. in general it's a different environment because it's also not limited by 'console generations'. these dudes been playing Counter Strike on Dust 2 since like 2001
PC is where you'll find the best looking versions of multiplat game. plus the ability to mod these games (it's crazy that Skyrim is still in Steam's top 10). games like Arma 3 and Garry's Mod are very popular because they're basically a sandbox for user created content. those top 3 Steam games (Dota 2, CS:GO, and TF2) are all based on user created mods. that IMO is the major benefit of the "openness of PC": it's a platform that allows people to try new and innovative ideas. it's also the first place you'll find most new and innovative indie games
another part of the "openness" is the ability to choose how much you want to spend on hardware. and pretty much the sky is the limit. you can play CS:GO at 100+fps on 3 1440p monitors... and get you ass kicked by some kid with
whatever laptop
but yeah, there's not AAA exclusive PC games because "PC" isn't a company that can put money in a hat
