This came out just as the pandemic was about to start. It got a lot of mixed reviews. I don't think this album left an impact as it was hyped up to be. The mixing of this album and some of the production didn't do it for me. Lyrically it's a 10, but to be honest, Hov was spanking Jay Elec throughout the album. Plus it felt like Jay Elec lost a step on here. But overall, it's still some tracks on here that I revisit.

I thoroughly enjoyed the album. I just hate how things just boil down to the general consensus of people saying Jay z outside Jay Elec on the album.

To me I always viewed it as Tim Duncan and Allen Iverson playing together both of them dropped 30 points both of them had 10 assists but of course people talk more about Allen Iverson because he had to flashy a crossover.

We got 5%er Jay Z on the album which was amazing, Of course Jay Elec did his thang.

A few of the songs (The Neverending story, Universal Soldier, Flux Capacitor) on the album were old or ment to be Jay Elec solo song.

I never got the argument that Jay-Z clowned Jay Elect on the album. Outside of the initial shock of hearing Hov sound like HOV in a way that I didn't expect, both were on their A game. The flaws of the album were moreso about mixing as people have said, plus there were a couple weak tracks that sounded tacked on for a more modern sound. There are some GREAT tracks on that album.

I liked the album but I think I might've forced myself to lol

I definitely associate it with the world shutting down and getting laid off from my old job

I agree on associating that album with a rough time in life for myself as well (I am sure a lot of us) for various reasons.... That will always bring back those memories when listening and that sucks because the album was good. I felt like I forced it as well at times, didn't really listen to it much after a few weeks and I as someone said liked Act 2 a bit better.

One thing I will say that’s a plus, is that Jay Elec brings the best out of Hov. More so then any other rapper in this modern era.
